2012 Fall Activities in Columbus, Ohio
We asked the question on our Facebook page… “What is Your Favorite Season?” The overwhelming majority of respondents chose the fall as their answer. From cooler temperatures to beautiful scenery to Ohio State Football, the fall is a season that many people enjoy.
Regardless of what time of year it is, there are always activities taking place in Columbus. Below are five “Must Do” activities to participate in during the fall of 2012 in Central Ohio.
Visit a Haunted House – With names such as “Haunted Hoochie” and “Terror Park” the haunted houses in Columbus can frighten people before they even visit them! Partaking in this scary activity will certainly get your blood racing.
Attend an Ohio State Tailgate – Even if you don’t have tickets to a game, with the beautiful fall temperatures there is nothing better than the atmosphere of a college football game. Head on over to the banks of the Olentangy River and join thousands of Buckeye fans for good food, drinks, and plenty of football talk.
Take a Hike! (Literally) – With metro parks surrounding the city of Columbus, be active and go for a walk or hike with a group of friends. With the leaves changing colors, this is an affordable and scenic activity that you won’t regret.
Apple Picking– Sticking with the outdoor theme, Central Ohio is home to many self-pick farms, which is another can’t miss fall activity in Columbus. Whether you are looking to go with the family or on a date, apple picking will be a fun filled day that will also fill up your appetite!
Costume Shopping – Whether your taking your kids trick or treating or you plan on attending a Halloween party, costume shopping with friends or family is always a fun activity! With shopping malls conveniently located throughout Central Ohio, you’ll certainly find a costume store that makes this year’s outfit a memorable one for you.
