2016 Year In Review

When we look back at 2016, it’s hard to believe that it’s already over because we had so many great things happen for our communities! Whether it was the grand opening of Grand at Florence or the announcement of Panera Bread at Mason Grand, it was great to watch the communities develop and be amazing places for our residents to live.

In January, we proudly opened our first community in Northern Kentucky, Grand at Florence. The community was the first resort-style community in Florence.

While Grand at Florence was opening, our other communities were covered in a blanket of snow, creating a Winter Wonderland for all of our residents alike!

In April, our residents at Mason Grand were heroes! There was a duck that was nesting eggs at the community, but unfortunately something happened and her 12 eggs were taken in by a couple at the community. Later on, all of the eggs hatched successfully and the ducklings all survived. Our thoughtful residents went on to take the ducklings to a Mallard rescue center to live happily!

During the summer, our communities all had summer cookouts and pool parties for the residents. These are our residents’ favorite events during the year because they are always a blast with great food, people and, of course, fun at the pool!

During the summer, we announced two new communities Schottenstein Real Estate will open during 2017 — Central Gardens Grand and Powell Grand Communities.

Located in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Central Gardens Grand is in a signature location, which celebrates quality of life by fostering an environment of excellence and innovation. Central Gardens Grand is perfectly located on Central and Hood Rd. in Palm Beach Gardens, FL and is going to be the nicest rental building in Palm Beach Gardens.

Powell Grand Communities will be in a prime location on Sawmill and Seldom Seen Rd. and will be the best rental community in Central Ohio and certainly in Delaware County. There will be three brand new distinctive product types including eight floor plans totaling 308 high end apartments, townhomes and ranch homes with a majority having attached garages. There will be top amenities such as an 8,000 sq. ft. clubhouse, heated resort style pool, 24 hour fitness center, lounges, card rooms, fire pit, juice bars, bocce ball, pickle ball, dog park, business room, free wireless internet, community garden and much more!

Our communities love the Fall! During the season, our community and leasing managers decorate the clubhouses and hand out candy for our young residents during Trick-or-Treat. It’s always a blast

In November, we were proud to announce Panera Bread would be joining the Mason Grand community! The fast-casual restaurant will feature the newest design by the St. Louis-based company. We’re excited for Panera to join the Mason Grand community in 2017!

The Holidays are a magical time at all of our properties. The clubhouses are decorated in holiday garb and there are different parties and events planned! We even have a special visitor come to our communities right before Christmas to take photos with all the nice (and naughty) residents! All of our communities celebrated the holidays by giving back to others. You can read more about how our communities gave back this year in our blog HERE!
