Must See Halloween Events and Activities Around Columbus

Trick-or-treat and all things spooky are finally upon us. If your little ghosts and ghouls are excited to get their hands on as much candy as possible you might be interested in the events happening around Columbus. Perhaps, you are looking for festivities for yourself to get into the spooky spirit. Here are four of our favorite Halloween events and activities around Columbus!

Boo at the Zoo

Boo at the Zoo at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is October 21-23 and 28-30, 2016. Bring the family out for a “merry-not-scary” Halloween! Special sections of the zoo are dressed up for the spooky holiday. Plus there will be loads of candy being passed out throughout the zoo!

Boo on Broadway

Boo on Broadway is an alternative to traditional beggars night in Grove City on October 31st. Grove City’s Town Center is transformed into destination for spooky fun from 6 to 8 p.m. This annual, family-friendly alternative to trick-or-treat allows children to dress in costume and safely collect candy and other goodies from area businesses and civic organizations.

Freaky Flight Tours

The Freaky Flight Tours at ZipZone Canopy Tours is the perfect date night for the Halloween holiday. These zip line tours are in the dark all Halloween week with no artificial light and absent of a full moon. This enhance the spookiness of the evening. It will include activities like a costume contest and pumpkin chuckin’!

Halloween Hikes

In the mood for spooky date night idea? Visit the Battelle Darby Creek metro park and take place in the Halloween Lantern Hike. Meet at the Indian Ridge Bulletin Board at 6PM on Saturday, October 29th for an adventure. This 2-mile guided hike, follows lantern-lit path discovering creatures of the night that call the metro park home.

Not one to hike around in the dark? Meet at the ranger station at 10AM on Sunday, October 30th and participate in a 4-mile off-trail hike to prehistoric Indian and pioneer burial grounds in the metro parks Graveyard Hike.
