This Independence Day, Columbus is celebrating with not just a bang, but with at least five! From Pickerington to Hilliard, the Central Ohio area will be filled with spectacular fireworks shows all across the sky, and there is bound to be a fantastic fireworks display near you.

Downtown: Red White & Boom

The great thing about Independence Day in Central Ohio is that you get to enjoy a fireworks show on both the third and the Fourth of July. This year’s Red White & Boom will be on Friday, July 3rd in downtown Columbus, launched from Genoa Park (near COSi) over the river. The show will start at 10 PM and last about half an hour.

To get a good vantage spot, check out Berliner Park, Bicentennial Park, the Civic Center, and anywhere along Long Street, Nationwide Boulevard and Washington Boulevard. Remember to arrive early so you can get a prime location!

Red, White and Boom was named one of the top 15 4th July Celebrations in the USA. You not want to miss the fireworks display over the Scioto River in the capital city of the buckeye state.

Hilliard: Wave Old Glory for the Past, Present and Future

Join the July Fourth festivities with Hilliard! The local parade begins at 10 AM, starting from Franklin County Fairgrounds, and will end at the Darby High School lot. Then later, head over to Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park for the festival!

Hilliard is hosting live entertainment including a live country band, Jacked Up, who will start playing at 6 PM on the amphitheater stage. There will also be rides for the whole family at the festival, food stations and games! Fireworks will begin launching at dusk.

Grove City: Independence Day Celebration

Grove City always delivers an exciting Fourth of July celebration! This year, the Grove City Community Winds will be providing live music and entertainment. The celebration officially opens at 5:30 PM, and children’s events will start at 6 PM, featuring games and activities for the little ones.

There will be a special Veterans’ Recognition at 8 PM, as the community honors those who have fought for our country. Then, the spectacular fireworks show will begin promptly at 9:50 PM, so get a good spot to enjoy the show! Admission is free, and parking is $5.

Dublin: Independence Day Celebration

Dublin City’s Fourth of July events begin starting at 8 AM with a fishing derby at the community rec center, and continue all day until the evening celebrations. The fireworks show is from 4:30 PM to 10:15 PM, and prime seating will be in the Dublin Coffman High School Stadium. Chris Jamison and John Fogerty will be performing in the stadium!

This year, you will need to buy a wristband to guarantee access to the Stadium. Wristbands are $5 each, and starting at 4 PM on July 4, any unsold wristbands will be free to the public on a first-come first-served basis, available at the stadium.

Pickerington: July Fourth Celebration

To catch this year’s Pickerington Independence Day festivities, head over to Victory Park for an evening of fun. Victory Park will open starting at 4:00 PM, and the evening parade, starting at 6:00 PM, will go through Olde Pickerington Village.

The opening ceremonies will begin at 7:30 PM, shortly followed by the main stage feature at 8:00 PM, all in Victory Park. Stick around, because at 10:00 PM, Pickerington’s fireworks show will begin! The display will last approximately half an hour.
