Red, White, & BOOM! Festival
Do you have plans for the Fourth of July yet? Downtown Columbus will be hosting it’ annual Red, White, and Boom festival on June 3rd from noon to 11:00 p.m. Whether you are single, married, or have a family, Red, White, and Boom, has activities for everyone to enjoy.
Kicking it off at noon is the Columbia Gas’ Children’s Park which will run until 8:00 p.m. Columbia Gas is celebrating it’s fourth year of the children’s park at the corner of Neil Ave. and Long St. Activities for all ages including: inflatables, Cosi on Wheels, carnival games, face painting, balloon animals and more!
Starting at 3:00 p.m. on Nationwide Blvd. is the Taste of Boom. The street will be closed off from Front St. to Neil Ave. Taste of Boom will offer food from Columbus’ top restaurant’s, two stages featuring the best local entertainment, and provides a great view of the fireworks. This event will last until 11:00 p.m.
NBC4 BOOM! Central will be broadcasting live starting at 5:00 p.m. Stop by and be a part of the audience when Cabot Rea and Colleen Marshall go live at the corner of Civic Center and Town St. Television personalities Dave Mazza, Jerod Smalley, and Matt Barnes will be in attendance too. They will be there until 11:00 p.m.
The AEP Independence Parade presented by the Columbus Blue Jackets and Central Ohio Ford Dealers is the largest Independence Day Parade in Central Ohio, and has received over 70 entries for the event. Starting at 6:00 p.m. on the Main St. Bridge, the parade will head east on Main St., turn north on Front St., and end at Spring St.
At 10:00, head on over to the corner Broad St. and Civic Center to meet WNCI radio personalities Dave and Jimmy and enjoy the Best Independence Day firework show in all of Ohio. Fireworks will be set off at Veteran’s Memorial starting at 10:00 p.m.
Don’t let the fun end just yet. The Three Legged Mare will host the Official After Party of Red, White, and BOOM with food, drinks, and more fun.
Many of our rental communities are just a short distance from downtown Columbus. This night is sure to be filled with fun and excitement for everyone to enjoy.
