July 4th Fireworks in Columbus, Ohio
When you think of the 4th of July, we’re betting that the first thing that comes to mind are fireworks. Fireworks and 4th of July have gone together, well, since forever, and there are some pretty spectacular and famous displays across the country, the biggest of which is the Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular in New York City. This annual fireworks show over the Hudson River attracts around 2 million people and provides vantage points all along the west side of Manhattan and even in New Jersey so the crowd doesn’t get too big in any one spot. The 26-minute show sets off approximately 75,000 pounds of fireworks. Yes, 75,000 pounds.
Columbus, Ohio may not have a 4th of July show of that magnitude, but that doesn’t mean that Columbus residents don’t take their fireworks seriously. Red White and Boom is the largest fireworks display in all of Ohio. Not only that, but there are tons of other displays in the Columbus area, and we thought we’d put them all in one list to make it easy when deciding which fireworks shows to attend:
